Newberry & Co provides experienced, hands-on leadership throughout the project lifecycle, helping clients navigate complexity, make informed decisions and maintain momentum from concept through to completion.
Led by Bob Newberry.
Bob founded the firm after eighteen years delivering property projects across the UK and Australia, working both from the developer's seat and client-side, across retail, mixed-use, multi-residential, industrial and commercial.
As a client-side project director, he's the person who steers a development alongside the owner: planning and approvals, feasibility and costing, design coordination, procurement and tender, construction through the head contractor, and contract management and superintendency. The job is to stay a step ahead of the risk, so it gets identified early and dealt with before it reaches the client.
Retail is where he's gone deepest. Nicholas Street in Ipswich, Orion Springfield Central, the Hyperdome, and the retail tenancies along King Street at the RNA Showgrounds. He's worked with institutional owners, private developers and local councils: Cbus Property, Woolworths, Retail First, Ipswich City Council, Brookfield Properties, ID_Land, QIC and Abacus Storage King.
There's an odd first chapter to it. Before construction, Bob trained in nutrition and dietetics. It sounds like a detour, but the analytical, people-first way he was taught to work still shapes how the firm approaches a project: read the evidence, understand the people, don't guess.
