Our services

Development management
The early stages are where a project is won or lost, long before anyone turns a sod. This is the work of getting a site or an idea to something viable and fundable, and killing the bad assumptions before they cost you.

Project management
Once a project is moving it needs one partner holding budget, program and quality together, and answering for all three. We run the consultants, the tender, the head contractor and the delivery, and we stay a step ahead of the risk so it gets dealt with early instead of discovered late.

Superintendent services
Under a building contract the superintendent has to be fair to both sides and precise about it. We administer the contract straight down the line: assessing claims, issuing directions, pricing variations, and keeping the commercial side clean so a dispute doesn't derail the job.

Advisory & specialist services
Sometimes you don't need a full project management scope. You need one experienced head on one decision. A feasibility, a due-diligence report, a program that's slipping, a bid that has to land. Bring us in for the piece that matters.

SECTORS
Key sectors we work across
Seven sectors, public and private, from a single tenancy through to a precinct
01

Retail
Our deepest sector. Most retail is delivered around a centre that stays open, so staging, public safety and the opening program matter as much as the build itself.
02

Residential
Apartment and tower projects, where scope and price have to be settled before site works start. Design coordination first, then holding the head contractor to both.
03

Self Storage
Multi-level storage, usually on a site that keeps trading throughout. The constraint is the site rather than the building, staging demolition and construction around a live facility.
04

Hotels
Hotel projects carry an operator's requirements alongside the owner's. Reconciling the two at concept is what keeps the brief workable through to handover.
04

Mixed Use
Mixed-use stacks uses that behave differently, residential over retail, hospitality beside community space. Most of the risk sits in the interfaces between them.
04

Commercial
Office fitout, workplace and industrial facilities. Shorter programs against a fixed occupancy date, where the job is protecting that date through procurement and construction.
04

Master-planned Communities
Delivery of one project phase, or multiple stages delivered over years.

FAQ
Commonly asked questions
A client-side project manager works for the owner, not the builder. We hold cost, program, quality and risk together on your behalf, from the brief through to handover, so you have one partner accountable for the outcome instead of a room full of consultants each responsible for their own slice.
Development management is the early work: turning a site or an idea into a viable, fundable project through feasibility, approvals and strategy. Project management is the delivery, running the design, the tender and the construction to a finished building.
We do both, and plenty of clients want us across the two so nothing gets lost in the handover.
The superintendent administers the building contract and has to act fairly to both the owner and the contractor. That means assessing progress claims, issuing instructions and directions, pricing variations, and certifying the work. It’s a role that lives or dies on independence and precision.
Senior people. That’s the point of the firm. We’re senior-led on every engagement, with no handballing.
Yes. A feasibility, a due-diligence report, a program review or a bid strategy are all things we take on as standalone pieces.
Newberry & Co was founded in 2026, so most of the track record is Bob Newberry’s personal experience at his previous firms: Neoscape, Ranbury, Lendlease, Mirvac and mcd Australia. Every project page says which firm he was at and what his role was. We’d rather be specific about that than blur it.
